Personality & Motivations

Bromgron has never worked a day in his life and doesn’t plan to start now. The only real tragedy in his life was the night he earned the nickname "Pissboots", but even that barely fazed him after a few pints. He drifts through life, unfazed by war, death, or even his own imprisonment.

  • Unshakable Optimism – Not because he’s brave, but because he’s too drunk to care.

  • Accidental Survivor – Somehow always makes it out alive, not because he’s skilled, but because luck (or sheer obliviousness) is on his side.

  • Unapologetic & Shameless – He owns his nickname. He owns his lifestyle. And he’ll own whatever drink you left unattended.

  • No Fear, No Plan, No Worries – Magisters? Pfft. He barely noticed when they arrested him. A Voidwoken attack? Eh, as long as he has ale. Life-threatening situations? "I’ll deal with it after my next drink."

Backstory

Bromgron grew up filthy rich in a family that actually expected something of him. Unfortunately for them, he had absolutely no interest in mining, smithing, or doing anything remotely productive. The only inheritance he cared about was his father's massive stash of gold, and the even larger stash of imported spirits.

He never had to work, never had to fight, never had to struggle. And why should he? The ale is cold, the fire is warm, and his only problem in life is people expecting him to care about things.

Of course, life doesn’t always let you coast forever. When he was arrested for sourcemagic, he was completely blackout drunk and has zero memory of using magic at all. Was he guilty? Was it a mistake? Did he accidentally cast a spell mid-belch? He doesn’t know, and he doesn’t care.

When he woke up in prison, the biggest shock was the lack of good ale. But then again, the ship to Fort Joy had some, so what’s the problem?
