Overview

It is said that Tranquility was born out of a flower that bloomed on one of Oakent's branches. As the Goddess of Rest and of Dreams, she embodies the tranquility of the subconsciousness, valuing rest not only from physical exertion but also from the pull of stress and emotions.

Tranquility is not the only deity who might influence dreams, but she is the most prominent force over that domain. When her influence is strong, creatures sleep deeply and peacefully, their dreams vivid and sleep restful. Where her influence is weak, creatures are vulnerable to nightmares and restless, anxious nights. In the hope of calm dreams and easy sleep, many burn a sprig of lavender before bed in offering to Tranquility.

Appearance

Tranquility is usually depicted as a purple hued woman asleep in fields of lavender, her expression serene. Even when she interacts with followers, she takes the form of a sleeping woman, floating midair like someone underwater.

Holy Symbol

A follower of Tranquility will always have a sprig of lavender somewhere on their person, and a spellcaster might use lavender as a holy symbol spell focus.

Influences

Tranquility has no lofty, complicated goals. She believes that all creatures need rest, to take time away from active thoughts and the pull of stressors. She wanders the planes bestowing the gift of rest upon others.

Tranquility gets on best with the calmer natured deities, typically those who also fall under the primal domain of acceptance. Since their births, she has attempted to befriend both Lethe and Monet. She has been known to quarrel with Monet over their refusal to ever take a break from their woes.

Tranquility sometimes aids Reaper in dealing with lesser beings suffering from The Curse of Immortality, using her abilities to subdue troublemakers.
