Meaning: Sea spirit

The sea-elves of Nhera. They are distinct from Nautarii Merfolk of other species. Just like their kin on land, they also possess a distinct appearance depending on their ancestry and proximity to the The Starwell.

Because they are uncorrupted by the Deep God, they still possess the Elvish fate of endless life. The diversity sometimes found in their species is also a result of the time elvenkind spends in the Scholary of Stars. Some have bodies like that of drown-horses, or great sea serpents. What makes them distinct from, for example, Mannish Nautarii, is their longer length, greater size and retention of Elvish qualities such as aethersensing.
