The party’s active quests.
The ghost of Sir Brandon beseeches you to go to Brandonsford, to the crypt below the city, and secure the artifacts being kept safe there. The artifacts once belonged to the Cold Prince. Sir Brandon senses that someone has been within the old crypt “recently”. He says the town of Brandonsford can be found to the north along the Adriel Way.
Including monsters encountered and treasure collected.
The weather grew worse; frost elves cracked their way into the mortal world and attacked!
Through moderate struggle, even while the cyclone of ice grew and the frost elves attempted to escape and away to Brandonsford, Cold-Morning-Frost and his minions were slain (620 xp).
As the frost elf died, each Knight of Sir Brandon’s tattoo began to glow, another element being added to it—a child of the Cold Prince had been defeated.
21 Ice Arrows (+1d6 cold damage), six Ahortswords of Frozen Steel (+1d6 cold damage), and a Breastplate of Frost were collected from the dead, as well as a letter: “Return to me my artifacts from the [[Crypt of the Sisters|crypt]] in Brandonsford. Do not return until you succeed” – Cold Prince (SPIDER DRAWBRIDGE SEAWEED).
The same symbols found on the letter were glowing but fading on the side of the stone table—a connection and secret pathway through Faërie and into the mortal realm.
The party returned to the Adriel Way and traveled north for a time, before camping for the night; though they failed to start a fire in the snow, between Erazin’s cooking and Ghesh (and Droop’s) dancing, spirits were lifted.
In the night, Erazin was confronted by a roving Hogboon goblin band lead by Mold—fake gold, then real gold was given, so Erazin may yet once again be named Goblin Friend Friend and Ghesh Goblin Friend, and perhaps the rest of the party too.
The next day arrived crisp and clear as the party continued north, passing a dungeon and reaching the ruins of Brandonsford—identified by the statue of Sir Brandon in the town square amongst the rubble.
They followed several week old tracks to the strangely preserved graveyard; there they spoke with a ghost named Sir Merrick, learning the Cold Prince’s true name (Auberon) and that of his former lover (Sharaea, one of the Daughters of Delight).
Ghesh, seeing a statue of his patron saint, rushed into the Graveyard, activating its defenses—the undead.
After both Ghesh and Katgur nearly lost their lives, the party managed to kill most of the undead (140 xp) and escape to a copse of trees outside the low walls of the graveyard—their they camped for the night.
The next day arrived clear and warm, though the way forward now seemed treacherous, despite the nicer weather.
