The party’s active quests.
Father William has requested you retrieve the dragon slaying sword from Sir Brandon’s barrow mound (and see what has become of Brother Dirk, if time allows). In exchange, he offers blessings (the casting of one cleric spell up to level 3).
Including monsters encountered and treasure collected.
Looted items from the alcoves in the crypt chamber. (200 gp)
Released and killed a gray ooze (50 xp) to get the gems inside it (250 gp).
Found and opened (opened in—never out) a secret door.
Looted candle sticks and the holy relics of Saint Arthur, patron saint of hunters. (1,550 gp)
Descended to the lower level.
Found the shrine of a nude, antlered man—there set of the warding stones, attracting the floating skull of Sir Wyllt, who was avoided with a minor illusion and quick thinking.
Found and opened (in!!!) a secret door leading through a tunnel to the room of the maiden, who demanded to know what makes a knight.
Callum snuck back to retrieve the hollow golden amulet (150 gp) from beneath the nude antlered man, which contained a scroll of protection from evil and good.
Erazin and Ghesh proceeded into the hall of warriors while Katgur attempted to pry open the double doors leading to Sir Brandon’s Tomb—both actions attracting attacks from shadows and statues.
Defeated the statue and the shadow of Sir Myrddin. (350 xp)
Spent an hour smoking bad leaf that made everyone sick, but managed to come up with the words that answer the question: “What makes a true knight?” They are: Valor, Piety, Wisdom, and Duty—saying the words opened the door to the tomb of Sir Brandon.
Looted the tomb, finding treasure (1,100 gp), a kite shield emblazoned with a golden dragon (soon to be painted blue) and the Holy Sword of Sir Brandon.
Retreated from the room just as the doors closed.
Made camp for the night, but was interrupted by the skull of Sir Wyllt and the body of Sir Alfred—defeated them. (250 xp)
Tried to sleep again, but was interrupted by the ghost of Sir Brandon, who charged the party with becoming knights in his name and vowing to defeat all thirteen of the Cold Prince’s children—all but Erazin agreed.
Woke the next morning, refreshed and prepared for adventure.
