Jesem has requested that you end the internal noises coming from the basement of his home, the House of Jewels. He warns that the basement is full of traps laid by his great grandfather, the late Draxas the jeweler-magician. In exchange, he welcomes the party to loot anything they can from the basement.
Yenok Crown Tattlemater Arlanodel of the Prismists has requested through Malzazerick the Magnificent that the party retrieve and return three magical items: the crystal crucible, silver spinner, and tome of looping enchantments. They suspect the items can all be found in the basement below the House of Jewels, the late Draxas the jeweler-magician’s home and workshop. The House of Jewels can be found along the North Road heading towards the Barrowfield—it is said to shimmer and twinkle in the night. In exchange, work on the magic mirror will be free and one will be granted admittance into the order or Prismists.

Returned to the Temple of Saint Ludann and visited Arthur Figwort in the dungeon; there also saw some two drunks, some goblins, and a werecockroach—Arthur was very much strange, but Father William gave permission to try to heal him, and any others in the dungeon, provided the cells aren’t opened and there is an escort.
Rested and prepared for the night at the Golden Egg Tavern.
Set out along the North Road, but cut into the Wealdwood after seeing acid-burnt trees to the north.
Entered the Barrowfield and returned to the North Road, where the House of Jewel’s was found.
Leaving the horses and dogs behind, headed down into the basement, where strange noises were heard.
Spent a long time investigating a series of arches and black and white faces, using that knowledge to solve the black and white tile floor trap.
Tricked some rats across a tile trap, but they were too short for the blades, so they were killed the old fashioned way (25 xp).
Looted the rats’ room and found a spellbook (Morlan’s Marvelous Magic).
Explored the old library after killing four giant centipedes (24 xp)—Waverly was poisoned and had to leave—and found a magical ring (serpent ring).
Explored a ruined lab, found a purple coat covered in yellow mold, managed to extract two items (a spell scroll and a jade medallion engraved with a “D” worth 100gp) from the coats pocket without spreading mold spores.
Found the source of the cackling in a room full of cages: a mirror facing the wall and locked in a cage.
Entered the Rat Queen’s parlor and threw three bottles of oil and a lamp into the den…
