Welcome! This guide will help you build a 1st-level character for a horror-themed campaign set in the town of Yanagihama, deep in Akanegumo — the Cloud Province of Shenyun. You'll play hometown heroes: people of Yanagihama (by birth or long residence) who must rise to defend their neighbors from a sinister curse and a year of mounting supernatural threats. The campaign runs from 1st to 12th level across a full year of in-world time — one adventure per season, beginning on the first day of summer.
