Gore finally got horn armor. All things seem small, now. Lots to squeeze through...

"Exploring the attic was super fun, we found a whole room of alchemy stuff that Talli is going to love. It'll be a great place for us to do research and experiments together. And modifying my hooky hammer was TOTALLY worth it! I smashed a spider that was resistant to smashing! I wonder who made all these cool clockworky guys though, I'd love to pick their brain... If I take all the parts then maybe I can figure it out on my own. Ashe told me about Aetheria who is a goddess of machines AND she likes hammers too, maybe she could help me!"

In this session, the party faced several challenges, beginning with Jace, Monseigneur, and Mr. Kitty falling ill with the same sickness that had previously afflicted Aurelius. They informed Ashe and Gore about sending backup and hurriedly returned downstairs. Kaya and Tillamook stepped up, taking the everlight crystals from Jace and Mr. Kitty to navigate the dark attic.

Ashe and Gore briefed Kaya and Tillamook on the recent developments, including the mysterious clockwork toys, animated furnishings, the maker's mark, and the cryptic note. They also showed the newly arrived companions the rooms they had already cleared, leaving only a couple of rooms left to explore.

The group proceeded to the main hall and opened the doors to the next room. Ashe took point and swiftly neutralized an animated broom before moving further down the hall in search of lurking shadows. The party soon engaged in more combat, with Gore facing off against a clockwork toy soldier. During the fight, a clockwork toy spider emerged and attacked Kaya, but missed her eidolon, Yakul, with its web shooter. Tillamook managed to smash the spider to bits.

After defeating the spider, the group focused their efforts on the clockwork toy soldier. Their successful combat earned them 30 XP. Ashe then observed that the room was not as deep as the others and decided to investigate further. While Gore attempted to break through the wall to find a hidden room, Ashe discovered a secret alchemy lab tucked behind the wall. The party raided the lab for supplies and searched for another secret exit to the last room. Although Ashe struggled to find it, Tillamook used her knowledge to locate the mechanism that held the door in place, allowing Ashe to pick the lock.

During their exploration, Gore found some handwraps of mighty blows and creatively wrapped them around his horns, fashioning a makeshift "horn armor" to bolster his defenses. Additionally, the party discovered a few religious symbols, one of which was dedicated to Teun, the clockwork goddess. Tillamook, intrigued by Teun's association with invention, found this deity quite appealing to her scientific mind.

Ashe then asked Kaya and Tillamook to dim the lights so he could sneak a peek into the next room, identifying a few creatures waiting inside. The group decided it was easier to return to the main door due to Gore's difficulty squeezing through the narrow secret room doors.

Finally, the party reached the last room in the attic. Gore rushed in and engaged an immediate threat, while a clockwork spider sneaked out and ensnared Kaya with its web shooter, pinning her to the wall. Tillamook and Ashe quickly dispatched the spider. A poltergeist then appeared but hid from Gore, only to be located and swiftly taken down by Tillamook. The party looted the room, earning another 30 XP.
