Blackpowder Veteran


The Kingswar is only newly ended, the uneasy peace stretching as the nations scramble to find their advantage for the next round. In Vedore, firearms are the edge, these weapons changed the scope of the war and many of the veterans who fought for their country will never be able to forget it.

Starting Equipment: A Faded uniform for the army you left (Medium Armor), Firearm and bayonette (Ranged Weapon with loud tag, Melee Weapon), A favor from someone you left behind.

A: Standing Shoulder to Shoulder

When you stand next to an ally and another character moves into engagement with them you may make an attack of opportunity as a reaction.

A: Blackpowder Expert

You are always able to find the supplies needed to mix your own power and load your shot. You gain a +1d bonus when firing cartages you made yourself. When firing a weapon with the Loading Tag you can instantly reload it once per turn.

B: Veterans Brotherhood

Other veterans of the king’s war will respect and help you. You may call upon 1 favor from them a day, and all veterans you meet will start with +1 to their relationship.

C: Gunpowder Tricks

You are skilled in the tricks of loading powder weapons in unconventional ways. You may prep a number of tricks equal to your level each time you recover. Your GM may approve additional tricks.

Double Shot. with two shots and a little extra powder you can attack an opponent twice as a part of the same action.

Overcharge, with a dangerous amount of powder you may blast an opponent, roll an extra damage dice and you may knock an opponent back 10 ft, although a miss will damage the weapon and take a full turn to fix.

Powder Trap, you can hide or throw powder horns at enemies and shoot them. You can deal xd10 damage to [Template] close enemies you can see, they can save to half this damage (s).

Ricochet. You can fire a shot off a solid surface to hit enemies behind cover without a penalty.

D: Never alone, Never unarmed

If you are about to be killed by an attack or are in desperate need of help you may expend a favor to have another arrive to veteran save you and assist you however they can. Additionally you are always ready for a fight and can keep a small hidden pistol and bayonets hidden on you even in the most unlikely circumstances.
