Accessibility/Creating differently abled characters

Note: This rule set for our server is still being fine tuned.

Because positive representation is a lot of trust to put into players we are not allowing differently abled characters as first characters.

Use of accessible and respectful terminology: when in doubt research it out.

Balance the differently abled aspect with game mechanics: Whistling and other similar expressive sounds to mimic the patterns required for verbal components with someone non-verbal. Utilizing a familiar for someone with optical difficulties, etc.

Respect in all things: Differently abled characters aren't broken and don't require 'fixing'. Every adventurer needs tools to help them along so this shouldn't be treated as any different to that.

Non-Verbal Characters, characters with a speech disability, and/or aphonic characters: Utilize "Common Sign Language (CSL)". This might be tricky and while describing some of the gestures related to the signs are excellent for writing its important to keep it to a minimum so as not to seem mocking. If writing is used keep in mind that it takes longer. There are magical assists that can be utilized. Tools are tools after all.
