Lycanthrope Virus Variant's can occur in any ancestry. Genetic mutations caused by a virus linked to lycanthropy can present in many different ways. The mutations can be subtle or more striking. As often as not there is some pain associated with the mutation.
"Legends say during the 3rd era of the world a powerful wizard deigned to dabble in nature magics fusing the arcane with science... as a result... well we got this hot damn mess of viruses." - Some professor's journal in Corao City probably
Panthera Virus (Great Cats)
Crocodylia Virus (Crocodiles & Alligators)
Ursidae Virus (Bears)
Sus Scrofa Virus (Boar)
Rattus Virus (Rat)
Canis Lupus Virus (Wolf)
Those exposed to the virus are likely to pass a genetic mutation on to future generations. How this presents in those generations is dependent on the particular strain on to which the bloodline was exposed.
V. Variants are similar to their base ancestry in height and build but are typically more lithe and flexible. Their facial features have a bestial cast, often with large eyes, flat noses, and pointed ears (appearing in the same location as their base ancestry); most shifters also have prominent canine teeth. They can grow fur-like hair on nearly every part of their bodies though it's as common for more subtle physical features to present. V. Variants do not grow extra appendages uncommon for their base ancestry.
The traits of the beast within affect a v. variant’s appearance as well. A V. Variant may have catlike eyes and delicate build, while another v. variant might be a massive brute built like a bear.
Age: V. Variants mature at the same rate of their base ancestry.
