Fergus is of a somewhat mercenary, and indeed, mercurial bent. It is unclear if he is in adolescence, or if his behavior is just “a goblin thing,” as he puts it. His extensive combat experience, as he tells it, indicates he may indeed be older than he seems. Fergus has seen action as a pikeman and halberdier, with the landsknechts, but has also participated in numerous viking and raiding parties. The goblin’s recollections are fuzzy, but it is likely that he has passed through portals, and jumped through time, in his travels. Osterra is the first time he has landed in a different world, however! To his bemusement, and sometime annoyance, the highland warrior who stumbled through the mists with him, has more or less adopted him. Fergus tolerates this, mostly for the food.
Fergus brings his energy, everywhere he goes, on and off the field of battle- though in truth, he might struggle a bit, with the tediousness between skirmishes. He tends to be gregarious, boisterous, even- which makes a fine foil, to his comrade Bram’s more reserved nature.
Fergus appeared much like any other goblin, prior to his passage through the portal. For reasons unknown, his goblin features have faded, during his time in Osterra- diminished to the point that now, there is but a streak of green, running down his visage. He mostly eschews the heavy armor he once wore, reveling in the seeming immortality of the EverWar; he has taken to carrying an extremely large, wooden round shield, however. With his shield, Fergus wields sword or axe or mace; without, he prefers voulge or spear. He dresses in assorted kilts, or sometimes his landsknecht trousers and doublet, in red and green. In cooler weather, he wears a raccoon fur hat, and various pelts at his waist.
