
The capital of the lands that The Wardens guard. Fletchings is a sprawling city along the banks and plains around a major river. Those who live here have both carved their lives out of the surrounding wilderness and learned how live in harmony with what remains.
When The Wardens arrived in Osterra the realm was much different. It was much more wild with real cities few and far between. In some ways it was one that they were perfectly suited to. In keeping with their tenants of standing between the harsh realities of nature and those men and women who toiled amidst it they founded the then-village of Fletchings. It was located so as to provide protection for Cedar Hill. At that point the other city was both the seat of the council of Osterra and King Foster.
Since then the village has grown into a city and gained new roles. People flocked to the safety and security that Fletchings offered. The Wardens used the growing town as a springboard into other parts of the region. News of the prosperity that could be found in the growing city spread along with the faction’s political influence. For in many ways those were one and the same. Over the years the city has grown in size and wealth. It is here that many of the outlying hamlets come to sell their wares and surplus foodstuffs.
It is also here that The Wardens meet to discuss the important matters of the realm. As rangers such as they are wont to do, the members of the Wardens have a tendency to wander the land. Either by themselves or with one or two companions. Fletchings acts as their central commandery. They return here with important information. Or to let people know where they are going so that messages can reach them. It is also here that they all gather together for meetings that hold import to the entire faction.
