Yew

Yew is a frontier village and it shows. Danger abounds in these lands. Naga roam the nearby Blasted Lands. The lands of Geth the Necromancer lay but a few days ride away. Those who live here are a hardy folk. Prospectors for the iron mines or adventurers who wish to brave the unknown lands where once the mage empire of old ruled. There are many secrets hidden for those who are lucky or clever enough to find them. One having already been discovered proximate to the village itself. An ancient facility holding a control room from ancient times. Upon a joint investigation it was discovered that the control room contained a map of the leyline network.

In 1024 a second expedition was sent into the ancient facility. Additional exploration had discovered that it was much more extensive than previously thought. And was thoroughly haunted by the ghosts of the ancient magelords who had died within its walls. The adventurers of Osterra fought and puzzled their way through the ancient catacombs until they finally managed to fulfill the last wishes of the wraiths. Stabilizing the leylines and activating more of the facility's functions.

Elboron of the Wardens has made the harsh land his semi-permanent home. Using the village as a base to study the exapnded capabilities of the magelord facility. As well as translating the ancient library found within the depths of the mountain.
