Kruger Van Drachenstein hails from the town of Drachenstein in the land of Holthar, where he was raised in the Black Wolf Brewery, a tavern dedicated to the spirit of Mother Wolf. Born to an ex-noble father and a tavern keeper’s daughter, Kruger grew up under the shadow of his family's fall from grace. Despite this, he joined the town guard and later enlisted in the Third Mixed Regiment, tasked with protecting the newly discovered continent. His bravery was tested through battles with monsters, reanimated corpses, and pirates, culminating in a final battle where he was thrust into a magical device that transported him to Osterra.
In Osterra, Kruger quickly joined the fight against the Demonic Dominion, offering his military services to the vulnerable town of Cedar Hill. Over time, he became a notable figure, founding the Black Wolf Bakery, assisting in healing the Blasted Lands, and playing a pivotal role in the defeat of Demon General Ferdinand. However, Kruger eventually found his true calling with the Vidarian Khanate, a group that revered Mother Wolf as he did. He participated in many battles, including the war against the Pirates of Nuln, where his cunning led to the Khanate's victory. Now fully committed to his new home, Kruger continues to serve the Khanate, seeking to strengthen its defenses against magical threats, determined to protect his adopted land with the same fervor he once reserved for his homeland.
Kruger Van Drachenstein was born in another world, within town called Drachenstein in a land called Holthar. Kruger’s father was an ex-noble, banished by his grandfather to ensure his Uncle’s position while his mother was the daughter of a tavern keeper. He was raised in the Black Wolf Brewery, the tavern that his family owned, named after an aspect of the spirit of Mother Wolf, a spirit that the town dedicated themselves to following the teachings of. Kruger joined the town guard as soon as he was able and, when the kingdom called, he enlisted in the Third Mixed Regiment, a military force consisting of peoples from every country in the continent with the goal of exploring the newly discovered continent across the ocean, and protecting the towns there.

Upon arrival, Kruger tasted true combat for the first time. He almost lost his life to the monsters known as the Ahool to which he swore vengeance against, battled against bodies reanimated by plants that nearly took his friends, executed pirates who threatened to kill those he protected, and in his final battle, faced off against the a horde of cannibalistic traitors in order to stop the town he now called home from destruction. Unfortunately he came across another problem soon enough. A strange magical device had been in the town, one Kruger did not trust, nor did he wish to involve himself in it. He had seen it transport others from far away and alter what plane of existence his comrades walked. In his final battle though, the traitors pushed him into this device and in the blink of an eye, Kruger was gone.
When Kruger arrived in Osterra for the first time, he found himself thrown into battle against the Demonic Dominion. He participated in an ambush in the Crystal Caverns and afterwards started to gather information on the land. Having heard of the kindness, yet low military might of Cedar Hill, Kruger signed up in hopes of offering his military service to them. As time went on, he would face many threats and accomplish many things. He assisted in a ritual to heal some of the Blasted Lands. He founded his first shop, the Black Wolf Bakery, in which he made treats using old recipes from his homeland. He discover treasure kept by Undead Pirates. He even helped fight in the final battle against the Demon General Ferdinand. In fact, this is where Kruger’s first feat took place.

After fighting hard against the demons, the united armies cornered the demon general. With his shield gone, Kruger stood only with a single sword as he watched the demon general face off against Sir Tanos, however Kruger made a simple observation. The demon general’s belt had broken. “Hey everyone! Point and laugh at Demon General Ferdinand because his pants are falling down!” The collective mocking laughter humiliated the demon and for a brief moment, he almost forsook his duel to cut down the one who called attention to the embarrassing event. However the general chose to take on the Knight of the Realm, Sir Tanos, rather than the foot soldier, Kruger Van Drachenstein which sealed his fate and left him dead. And, while the citizens of Osterra rejoiced in the destruction of their great foe, Kruger took a piece of the general’s broken belt while no one was looking, sealing it in a box marked with symbols of Mother Wolf
While Kruger enjoyed the people of Cedar Hill, it was clear that his place was not among them. Kruger was a soldier, first and foremost, a position that was not needed much at the time. So Kruger began looking for a new place to call home in which he met with Vidar Khan of the Vidarians. The Vidarians, natives to Vetus Mundi, were trying to unite the other natives of the land and were in need of soldiers to do so. While in talks, Kruger also learned that the Khanate knew of Mother Wolf, the guardian spirit of his homeland also being a sacred spirit here. While Kruger still intended to try and find a way back home, this helped him make a the decision to swear loyalty to the Khan and helped the Vidarians in their quest till he may return to his own lands.

With the Vidarians, Kruger participated in many more battles, including the Honor Battle against the Elves. When the Merchants Guild was established and with it, regulations, Kruger temporarily closed down the Black Wolf Bakery and opened the Black Wolf Bazaar, a shop that sold his many crafts, the Bakery soon opening up as a smaller section of the shop. All the while, he secretly gathered many spellcasters, magic users, and mystical healers. For the Broken Belt of Demon General Ferdinand still held the presence of the Demon General and his corruption. To purge it would require a great feat. For over a year, Kruger gathered those he could for the cause, creating a magic beacon that would summon the Great Spirit of Mother Wolf into his body, purging the corruption of the Demon General and replacing it with her own. The ritual was success an on the eve of war with the Pirates of Nuln, Kruger proudly displayed his trophy on his belt
Now with the blessing of Mother Wolf giving him strength as well as a few other tricks he gathered, Kruger joined the Vidarian Khanate’s march against the Pirates of Nuln. The pirates have been ransacking the people of Vetus Mundi long enough and alongside his own experiences back in his home world, Kruger was ready to bring an end to the Pirates. So Kruger, along with a few others, attempted to scale the walls of the Pirate fort. After a handful of failed attempts, Kruger finally made it over the wall when no one was looking and stole the banner of the pirates that the defenders of Nuln were rallying around, returning it to the war camp of the Vidarian Khanate. With the banner to rally around gone and the forces of the Khanate breaking through the gate, the pirates of Nuln quickly fell and the Khanate won the day.
Having given up on returning home, Kruger Van Drachenstein has embraced the land that he has immigrated to. His sword and bow now at the service of the Khanate, Kruger seeks a new quest. For the Khanate has very little defense against the horrors of the magic. This is something that Kruger now seeks to rectify through whatever means he can find
