Nimh - The Eastern Wererat Colony
Nimh is an underground wererat colony located on the eastern peninsula of Nova Regnus, about halfway between New Ravenfall and Brimstone. The colony has an agreement of mutual respect with The Cast and is allowed to govern itself and exist so long as peace is maintained with the rest of the region.
While The Cast was venturing north of New Ravenfall through the chaos storms, trying to find a place to evacuate the city to in the event the western defenses fell, they came upon a group of wererats planning to ambush them. The Cast was able to surprise the would-be assailants and chased them back to the entrance to their colony.
Sir Tanos was met with the leader of the colony and came to an agreement that the humans of the surrounding lands would not settle where the wererats lived, and in exchange the wererats agreed to not only live peacefully with the surrounding human settlements on the peninsula, but also to aid them should any malevolent force invade the peninsula.
The Nimh colony has grown since its discovery due to Sir Tanos offering the wererats living in Tharropolis safe passage to Nimh should they wish to live peacefully with the humans on the eastern peninsula.
