The Green Dragon Brotherhood, escaping from the strange labyrinths and eldritch traps of Dreadwhisper Tunnel, rides their makeshift raft into the bright sunlight of autumn on the Trackless Moors. Shiv Drinkstep can't shake the thought that they are being followed; he sees glimpses of something under the water...

The party realizes that this raft is very much the base model. No oars, no sail, no anchor - just a rudder and the ability to float, probably. Turns out Greer the Betrayer is a crack sailor and he quite competently guides them to the northern shore of the river, where half the group starts looking for trees to carve steering poles from, while the rest of them go off in search of a large rock for an anchor.

While rock hunting, Kraz Formalhaut and Shiv Drinkstep come across an enormous nest high on an outcropping right next to the perfect anchor-sized stone. Large feathers lie scattered about. Shiv Drinkstep makes his way to the rock surprisingly stealthily and hefts it over his beefy shoulder. Somewhere in his beer-soaked brain he remembers that these feathers look like they belong to a Mesmer Falcon (because the random table said "feathers and a nest" but the GM had to search for a bird in the compendium in real time). No such creature appears, though, and they make it back to the raft.

The rest of the group identifies the perfect branches and wait until Kraz and his chainsaw return to chop them down. Work smarter, not harder! Only not that smart, because the sound of the chainsaw attracts the Mesmer Falcon - natch! The bird swoops in and ends up quite the worse for wear, getting stabbed, slashed, and de-beaked! Greer the Betrayer goes for a flashy coup de grace swan dive double dagger attack and misses entirely, belly flopping in a cloud of dust while the injured bird retreats.

Back on the water, the party makes excellent progress, and Sooney-Crow of No Family unveils her new song - Journey to the Purple Pyramid - and everyone knows it's going to be a major hit. It sounds a lot like No Quarter. That night, they make camp and discuss their plans. Greer wants to raise an army and march on Crow's Keep, installing himself on the throne, hoping the rumors he's seeded of a bastard son of King Uldred will pay off. Shiv Drinkstep is happy to help, but he's mostly concerned about the Grey Guardian and what it's done to Crow's Keep. Sooney-Crow of No Family is ride or die with the group, and Kraz and Cleansing Waters are in it for the lulz.

The next day, Shiv catches another glimpse of something big and green following them, but before they can do anything about it, they spy a net strung across the river and notorious river pirate Seabury "The Dog" Nottley waiting to ambush them. Again, Captain Greer gets them to the shore (despite this being an excellent use case for the anchor they spent so much time getting), where Sooney-Crow of No Family uses all her wit and charm to pitch Nottley on joining forces and taking back Crow's Keep.

No sailor can say no to Grace Slick with a Halberd and Nottley agrees to the partnership. He calls his men out of their ambush hidey holes, but before he can tell the Brotherhood the current state of affairs in Crow's Keep, the river explodes as a giant green Aboleth attacks, looking to feast on the tasty minds it senses.

Chaos, as it is wont to do, erupts. Kraz Formalhaut blasts it with lightning - he also blasts two of his new crewmates in the process. Things get even more dicey as Cleansing Waters leaps onto the beast's back and Kraz Formalhaut nearly blows him away with an errant ray gun blast. Greer and the pirates pepper the thing with crossbow bolts and Sooney hacks at it with her money maker, but ultimately, it's Cleansing Waters and his badass bionic arm that deal the killing blow, punching the thing right through the top of the green gooey skull.

Once the dust and the tears settle, Nottley describes the dire situation at Crow's Keep - the Guardian has indeed installed itself in the throne, corrupting the Order of the Iron God in the process. Sure enough, as the Naval Forces of the Green Dragon Brotherhood arrive at Millhaven, they find the town surrounded by tents and shacks, all refugees that have fled the Guardian's reign.

After making plans to catch up with Nottley and the rest of the navy at their preferred hangout - The Lame Salmon - the Brotherhood swaggers through Millhaven, announcing their presence with authority and declaring that The Bastard of the Moors is back to take his rightful place on the throne, and by Graxus, who's with them?!

They kick open the doors of The Dead Chestnut - where it all started - and run smack into Hele Tanner, who's been looking for them1. She casts down Greer's Serpent Girdle, which transforms into some large and scary serpents...
