Expedition members travelling east in pursuit of a small band of goblins discovered a cave system at the base of the mountains. The goblins had made a basic camp there, and during the search, party members uncovered signs that the tunnel was not a natural formation.

Reports say those who used the tunnel noticed some kind of unknown enchantment. The tunnel itself leads through to the other side of the Basque Mountains following an old and unkempt road towards a quiet bay. Coincidentally, a settlement was recently founded here, Arisbar Cove, still under construction but likely to prove an integral element to the development of the Southern Reaches.
