The name colloquially given to the pass through the Basque Mountains that connects the Confederation of Duchies and the Southern Reaches . The pass appears on some especially ancient maps, but the original name is lost to time. Settlers of The Mouth began calling it The Throat to caravans of trade goods and the name has stuck.

The pass was discovered open in what would come to be known on the 13th of the 1st, Open South.
