Abyssals are creatures born from the darkness of the Abyss below. They typically do not leave their lower world, and are long lived, and intrinsically connected to the darkness. Many have a magical attunement to occult magics, or simply have some innate abyssal powers.

Abyssals can be warped surface creatures, or ancient life from long ago, evolved and adapted to the abyssal dark. Some say that the Abyss can breed new life as well, making many lifeforms that would never live where the sun may shine.
