Avians are birds, certain flying creatures, or other feathered creatures. They are usually marked by their birdlike features, although some avians are missing one or more parts of what makes a creature a bird, typically.

Common avians include forest birds such as mockingbirds, jays, pigeons, crows, eagles, and others.

Less common are the larger avians, such as the great Garuda, marked by its fatherlessness, its valuable down, and massive wingspan, or the great Roc, known for the stormy winds its wings create, and the Phoenix, an avian said to be immortal through countless rebirths.

Avians can be found in any place with open skies, and some may even settle in enclosed spaces.

Some avians are flightless, such as the chicken, or the much rarer Urbhet, whose immense size only allows small glides, or jumps.
