Holds are a highly WIP feature, and kinda backlogged at the moment!
A Hold is an established base of operations. A home, a fortress, a church, a druid’s grove, a tavern, an encampment, or any number of other semi permanent spaces can be your Hold. Some holds are a sign of nobility, or wealth, while others are simply where you rest your head or sharpen your steel. Each hold has its own benefits for both it’s owner and the owner’s allies, and you are encouraged to work with your GM to create a custom hold of your liking if none of the examples fit the situation you find yourself in.
Holds are in a category, which grant a general benefit. Within each category are specific types of holds, which grant a benefit specific to that Hold. A Hold can be converted to a different category, if it meets the criteria.
All Holds can be fitted with Installations, which are stations that grant some kind of use, or feature, such as an enchanting table, a blacksmiths forge, an alchemist’s lab, etc.
Some holds may generate profits once they are ready, such as establishments. These weekly profit values are at the GMs discretion, based upon the success of the location. Profits are typically deposited somewhere safe for the player to pick up. Below are some example amounts of weekly profit.
