Biography
Camilla grew up in Ashcliff, inheriting the inn from her mother, who ran it before her. Though her origins are known, few know the details of her past. She has lived a quiet, self-contained life, but some say a secret life of tragedy has hardened her, turning her into a watchful keeper of Ashcliff’s darker mysteries. For decades, she has served as the town’s unofficial gatekeeper, protecting the many vested interests and secrets that the townsfolk hold dear.
Perhaps the most friendly person in Ashcliff, she still has a nose for when something doesn't feel right, and her demeanor towards you can change in an instant if she believes you don't have her best interests in the forefront of your mind. She doesn't take kindly to outsiders unless they show concern for her, or treat her with compassion and respect. Stay on her good side, and she'll treat you respectfully...

Camilla Brown-Smith is a short, wiry woman in her early sixties, with sharp, almost hawkish features softened only slightly by the age lines etched into her face. Her once-dark hair is now streaked with silver, often pulled back into a bun.
