Known as aethyr, aethir, aethermyst, anima, magic and more. It has almost as many names as there are cultures and people who have come to understand it's life-giving nature.

Aether influences all things in and around Nhera, including its proximal Realmstars in the Nheros Realm Matrix. Entities live and breathe by aether and it is the source of existence in this system.

Aether originates from Asra, the massive confluence at the center of the Realm Matrix. It forms massive 'rivers' of mana known as Starcurrents in the Sea of Stars, and Manarivers when within the influence of a Realmstar.

Being connected to each other via starcurrents, realmstars have an energetic, magical, and elemental impact upon their proximal realms. This exchange of aether results in an elaborate ecosystem of distinct worlds that make up Nheros, where proximal stars influence the development and influence of each other.

The light of creation and shadow of destruction mirror each other in the Realm Matrix; Creatures tend to be influenced by either celestial or infernal aligned aether. The differing natures of these forces together can lead to powerful rebirth or volatile ruination. Wraithstone exemplifies this concept – a material imbued with both celestial and infernal energies, with the potential for immense power or devastating consequences.
