Pronunciation: Vah-loohrn or Val-ehrn
All Elvenkind on Nhera originates from Valurn, the first continent. When the Eotenari began to order the natural world, Valurn was their blank page.
Valurn was once a supercontinent and the first landmass on Nhera, existing as one before the dark days and when the first elves awoke upon it. This continent was known as Erellurn.
Land of Seasons.
Valurn is a place of ethereal beauty. While it is rare for other races to be allowed to the interior of the continent, the vibrant landscape can be glimpsed from the sea. Each majour region of Valurn is characterised by a season found in nature, but seemingly enchanted to be constant and neverending, yet comfortable. Even Avelorne, land of winter, is pleasantly chilly year-round. Magical storms are uncommon and usually a cause for alarm, suggesting some disturbance in the aetheroscape of the Starwell.
Land Sundered.
When the Realm was new and magic poured in through the massive Aetherfont known as the Starwell- a gargantuan space-dwelling beast known as Naug crashed into Nhera at the center of the starwell. This gave Valurn its distinct shape and served to break it apart, sending its pieces far away from each other and creating the world's map as it is usually known. Each continent of Nhera still reflects the season of Valurn from which it originated-- a fact mostly missed by all by Elvenkind.
