Overview.
Drâihari are much colder than the Valari as a result of infernal aether corrupting their bodies over millennia and the lesser density of the Starwell's aether in their blood. Their exposure to the dark forces from beyond the veil has likewise darkened their features and their hearts.
Skintone.
Their skin ranges from ashen black to pale argent with warmer and colder colours between. Pure Drâihari normally do not bear the warm or golden colours found in high elves.
Hair.
Split, chimeric hair, a rarity amongst other races, is strangely more common amongst Drâihari. Colours vary greatly from white to wine to black with most hues between. Their hair tends not to be as vibrant relative to their kin.
Many hairstyles tie up the hair into clasps of bone or metal.
Eyes.
Their eyes are sharply focused and vary greatly in colour. Like their hair, they are predisposed to mutations like heterochromia.
Heedless of nature, certain cults and practices will see the eyes dyed into entirely different hues in some individuals.
Ears.
Drâihari ears are quite often longer than their island kin. Because elven ears are highly sensitive and play a role in their Aethersense it's thought that time in hostile environments have seen theirs grow long for greater surface area.
Fangs.
Drâihari have larger fangs than the Valari and some practices see individuals sharpening them for aesthetics or combat.
Light Aura.
Drâihari have very subtle light aurae. Though their bodies still function as Aetherfonts, their light is diminished and only visible to the most perceptive of their kind. It casts a near-imperceptible silvery light.
Blood.
While it still holds faint traces of the Starwell's power, their distance from its source and reliance on potent, volatile aether reserves have darkened their blood to an inky black. However, this darkness is not devoid of light. Traces of the Starwell's influence still glimmer within like a flickering echo.
