Singular; Drâihar. Plural; Drâiharii. Adj.; Drâihari
"Light may blind, but the keen eyes of the night pierce the veil. We are the watchers, the shields, the cunning fangs that protect what we have earned."
Drâihari are elves and share core traits with all elves.
Known colloquially as Dark Elves, named for their distance from the starwell and oftentimes unpleasant demeanors, are the dimmed kinfolk of the high elves of Valurn. Elven propensity for absorbing magical aether around them has seen their evolution from brilliant golden hosts of the The Vales to darker, black-blooded lords of night.
Though they are in essence no different from Valari, they are descended from those elves that sailed from Valurn in the dark days and settled on the broken continents far from the The Starwell. These elves held the bravery and aggression within them that led to the decision to venture out and find their kin lost in the breaking of the world and battle the threats that began to encircle the sacred well of magic that gave the world life.
"Power is not a gift, it is a conquest. We have seized ours from the teeth of this world."
Over time, their culture has developed into one that values strength, canniness, and warfare to protect their interests above all others.
They are led by Mornhaladurun Mornkhainen.
