Devotees of the Hundred Precepts

Description

The Devotees of the Hundred Precepts, or Devotees for short, are a monastic order that follows the teachings of Ghee, God of Harmony. According to legend, Ghee walked the earth as a mortal and dictated a hundred rules for mortals to live by to attain enlightenment and immortality.

The Devotees believed that Ghee etched these rules in stone tablets that they house in their monastery. These monks follow the Hundred Precepts to the word, swearing off material possessions and excessive indulgence in favor of modesty.

Their leader is called the Dahisattva, the one who is closest to godhood. The current Dahisattva has been in a meditative state for over 300 years.

The Devotees make frequent pilgrimages around the Heart Realm to places where Ghee has had supposed interactions with mortals, spreading the word of the Hundred Precepts to any passerbies. Their monastery is located in the Sierra Bulwark and is called the Seat of Ghee.
