Overview

Hopstand is a prominent industrial district of Hub, Capital City. Countless factories, forges, and warehouses paint the sky black with smog. The official guildhall of the Bain-marie is located here.

Hopstand's infrastructure is systemized chaos. Tiny brick hovels are built in, on, and around colossal workshops as an afterthought, just so laborers can get back to work faster. Transport of cargo and personnel is done via carts on rails, haphazardly connected between zones of production and storage. Safety is not considered a priority.

Heating and plumbing systems snake out from the Grand Furnaces here to the rest of Hub via a system of pipes. These systems are fueled by metric tonnes of organic waste disposal generated by Hub’s citizens.

Inhabitants

Most citizens who live here are factory workers, hard laborers, or engineers of some sort.

Cuisine

Hopstand itself is not necessarily known for its unique cuisine. Inhabitants here prefer hearty and functional meals like soups, stews, bread, or other carb-heavy dishes.
