Overview

This group of islands is collectively referred to as Samovar. Samovar is a cold and inhospitable region, mostly consisting of tundra and ice floes.

Historically, before the Ambrosia Convention, they raided the Heart Realm shores to survive. Since then they struck a trade accord and rely on their ample mineral deposits to trade for food and luxuries. Some lingering grudges and blood feuds still exist between hubfolk and the samovarians.

Samovarians are generally considered rough-edged and surly but always straight to the point. Samovar is loosely divided into fiefdoms and ruled by barons, a title inherited from affluent families.
