HUMANITY
Sometimes you fight those who you are sworn to protect. This faction also includes Awoken, Exos, and other human-like races. All of these may also fall under known Lore factions, such as Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, New Monarchy, among others.
KNOWN FACTIONS
Civilian Combatants: Though they are called Civilians, living through the Collapse would weather anyone into a capable combatant that could surprise even a hardened Risen.
The Vanguard: The primary fighting force of the Guardians. The Vanguard are dedicated to the survival and expansion of Humanity.
Warlord: Lightbearers with less altruistic views on how to wield their paracausal power. They are primarily focused on their own personal goals. Many Guardians not affiliated with the Last City are collectively known as Warlords.
Compromised: Some Guardians fall under the control of the Darkness, or at least the entity behind the darkness. Other guardians may turn violently zealous in the name of what they believe in most, even if it is for the sake of the Traveller itself. Sometimes also called Rampant.
Dredgens: A Cult of Darkness that places great value in the ways of the Hive. They are also famously developers of most Weapons of Sorrow. The Dredgens technically fall under Compromised as well.
