Character death
When your character dies during an adventure there are two ways to bring them back to life. First direct resurrection during the session. If there is no option for direct resurrection Gentle Repose must be cast in session to bring the body back to the main player hub. When your dead character arrives in Domos, Gentle Repose is cast once. This means other characters have 10 days to find the means for resurrection. During these 10 days you may not play/create a new character. When creating a new character after your old one dies you are forfeiting your old character.
Your dead character may be deleted from the VTT after some time. If you want to keep the character sheet be sure to save it or retrieve it from one of the DM’s before this happens.
Character retirement
It might happen that a player doesn’t like playing their character anymore or that it doesn’t make sense for the character to keep adventuring. When this occurs players have the option to use their retirement token, which allows them to create a new character.
Every player receives only one retirement token for the entire cycle. Not one per character, but one per player.
The retirement token can be used by creating a ticket, in which you let a player guide know you want to retire your character. They will ask for the reasoning behind the retirement and help you create a new character where necessary.
Character revision
There is always the possibility that a player made a mistake, doesn’t like their choices or made bad choices for the setting while creating their character. To mitigate these errors a revision token can be used.
Every player receives only one revision token for the entire cycle. Not one per character, but one per player.
The use of a revision token is limited to prevent powergaming. The revision token can be used by creating a ticket, in which you let a player guide know you want to revision your character. The reasoning behind the revision will be asked and evaluated.
If the revision is approved the player is allowed to change their sheet. Don’t start making changes before anything is approved. After the revision of the character a DM will look over the sheet once more and evaluate if it’s ready for sessions. The changes will be confirmed once more with the player, after which the revision is permanent and no other changes are allowed to be made.
