Graes

A Symbol of Serenity

Laying in a sea of purple heather and rich loamy soil this quiet village is found in the west of Tufis-Moroi. Inhabitants work the fields every day, like the one before and the sounds of the chickens and cattle are brought to one's ears by the gentle breeze that blows from the nearby coast. At a distance it is clearly visible that a massive tree stands in the centre of the village, its large branches casting a cooling shadow on the square underneath. A handful of traders have set up their carts there and are shouting that they sell riches from Rubín and Pí-scis. Children playing in the streets and at some ruined and crumbled wall show that this little village is quite a lively and idyllic place. The villagers of Græs rarely experiences a harsh winter or rough weather, though they are heavily superstitious and put value in tradition and faith. Their superstition however, is lately being fed by strange activity taking place in the nearby forests.

Places of Interest

Though rather quiet, travelers that pass through the village can still visit one of the following places of interest along its streets:

  • The Bark & Brew Inn, though small, is said to have the best stew on the isles.

  • The Shrine of Nature is a small place of worship, dedicated to the gods of nature.

  • The Motherroot is a massive tree that stands in the center of the hamlet.

Industry & Trade

Despite the large heather the town is found on, there are two nearby forests where the townsfolk collect their lumber from and hunt to provide for building and food. On top of that, agriculture seems to be a big deal for the inhabitants of the village, they produce a rather big amount of crops and livestock on a regular basis and often use these resources to barter for things they can not usually procure around the village itself.
