The Woven Mountains

At the southmost point of the Territory of Edtalzum lies the Nexus Shaila, a series of mountains that works to separate the Lexdomina Dynasty and Sovereignty.

The Nexus Shaila are a majestic range of mountains that separate the Lexdomina Dynasty and Sovereignty, two mighty nations with a neutral but wary diplomatic relationship. The highlands were sparsely populated by nomadic tribes and small settlements, until a rare and precious resource called residuum was unearthed in its core. Residuum is a metallic substance that can absorb the weave, the source of all magic, giving it incredible properties. It can be used to enhance spells, create wondrous devices, or forge devastating weapons. Its origin and nature are shrouded in mystery, but its value is undeniable. As word of its discovery spread, a huge influx of explorers, adventurers, traders, and outlaws rushed to the highlands, seeking to claim a share of the residuum or gain an advantage over their enemies.

Two major cities, Ruxio and Parvat emerged around the most prosperous mines, forming a new and turbulent society in the mountains.
